Hello, and welcome to the Relaxington Post! I’m Susan – digital marketer, web developer, freelance writer and author of two published cookbooks, mother of two, grandmother of 5, avid gym rat….
But enough about me. Point is that like you and everyone else, I’m a busy person. Most of us consider relaxation to be a luxury, certainly not a necessity. It’s hard to treat yourself to a nice massage without feeling guilty later. There are so many other things that you could have and should have been doing, right?
Wrong! Taking care of yourself is NOT selfish. If you never nurture yourself, you will having nothing to offer to anyone or anything else. It doesn’t matter whether your focus is on family, friends, career, or community. If you don’t take care of yourself, you will have nothing to give.
One of the best ways to battle stress is relaxation, and the best place to start is in your own personal space. After all, your home is supposed to be your castle. It’s your comfort zone, your escape from the madness, your safe haven.
The goal of the Relaxington Post is to help you create exactly what works for you. Discover new information, ideas, and products that can turn your home into a retreat that you truly love.
For some, a full body massage chair might be a dream come true. Others may find that simply learning to use essential oils can create an ambience that makes all the difference.
As a detail person, I do thorough research on the products that are recommended on this site. And yes, I do have to make a living, and I may receive a small commission on some of those products. However, all my reviews are completely objective, and I never accept free products in exchange for a positive review.
What I strive to do in my reviews is to search out all the data and details on products and organize it in a way that makes it easy for you to find out everything you need to know before making a buying decision. Hopefully, this site will help you save time and shop smart.
So, wherever you are in life and whatever your journey, I’m delighted that you’re visiting The Relaxington Post. I enjoy sharing what I love with others, and I’m always on a mission to investigate what’s new, what’s great, and what’s a total waste of time and/or money.
I hope you’ll also join me in my effort to eliminate the crazy notion that taking care of yourself is somehow selfish, or even lazy. If you pamper yourself and then feel a twinge of guilt, remember that is just cultural conditioning, and it’s nonsense.
The way I think of it is this: If I want to change the world, I have to start with me. To be the best I can be, I must give myself the same love, appreciation and respect that I so freely give to others.
I wish you the very best in finding ways to promote wellness and relaxation in your home. Make your life less stressful and more peaceful. You deserve it!
